Today for art, we had to create our own version of Kowhaiwhai. Heres my piece with and without the writing. Hope you like it!

Holidays

Over the 6 weeks of holidays we all got given at the end of term 4, I spent it all with my family. The first week I visited my sister who only lives in Mt Wellington, and spent a week there at her house with her boyfriend and 3 sons. During that time we went to Dunkirk playground in the evenings for night walks, then we would play on the playground. Other nights we would all gather around in the living room and watch movies while eating junk food or make fun tik toks.

Around week two, I went to Hamilton to see my aunty. I was also there for about a week and a half. During that week and a half, I would play with my baby cousin who at the time was only three. We watched netflix most nights, made pancakes or waffles, french toast for breakfast and would mostly buy Sushi for lunch. Every morning we would have to wake up at 7:00am, have breakfast then get ready to go to my aunties work. At her job I would stay in her office watching videos, or playing games on the iPad which I guess you could say occupied me for the whole of those days.

Week 3 of my six week holiday, I went to my brother's house in Otahu. I was at his house for about 4 or 5 days. During that time we went to the park nearly everyday, had bbqs, went to the shop to buy goodies and would relax in the room watching funny videos. Sometimes we would get the phone and make our own videos which didn't go as well but they were really funny. If we weren't doing either that or watching videos and netflix, we were making tik toks.

Week 4 then came along and I was back at home. It honestly felt good to be back home, because I had been with my family that lives outside of Glen Innes, I didn't realize how home sick I was becoming. When I got home all I wanted to do was lay down in my own bed, then spend time with my mum and my  Dog. So later on I went outside to play with my dog for about an hour playing fetch and all that. Then I headed inside to have a cooling shower because I was so sweaty, and hot I felt it was a need. I headed to my room, laid down in my bed,turned my tv on and watched my favorite show at the time which was Love island.

The last 2 weeks was me staying home with my siblings, going out to sylvia park, night markets, kmart just places to go to get out of the house. My holidays were just amazing and fun because I got to spend it with the ones I love.

Today for work we had our first Day 1 physical limits activity.

Covid 19 Maths - Work from home

For work from home today we did math about 

cases in New Zealand with the Corona-virus. Below is a pie graph 

of the areas in New Zealand with cases of the corona virus. Below that pie graph is a line graph of the age groups between teens upto 70s with cases about the corona-virus if that makes sense. Under that is another pie graph about 

male and female gender with covid 19.

Covid 19 - Work from home

Today for out first 'work from home' activity, we had to study about 

Covid 19(Corona-virus.) Here's a slide of the research

I did while learning knew things about this disease.

Symptoms -

difficulty breathing.

Just to say poem - Williams Carlos Williams

In Rm 12 today we watched a 17 second video of 

William Carlos Williams saying a famous piece of poetry about his naughty behavior. Heres my version of a time I was misbehaving a while back.

Term 1 review

In the past 4 weeks of school in Rm 12, we have learned a lot! Some of the learning required to get creative with art. For example, our reading boxes. We used our stationery boxes and cut them in half to split into two parts. We then started designing our reading boxes to put our books in. Another activity we've done these past few weeks is our kiwi sport which is Squash. In squash, we have a mix of five teams. To get to know each other we created all about me posters and we all enjoyed getting creative and having fun with designing them uniquely.

For reading we are reading a book called Hatchet.
